The Stair Spread project began as an idea to activate an underutilized, 700 sq. ft. service ramp-way entrance at OStudio, a co-working space and cafe. The focal point of the project was to:

1) Create a platform for changing needs; from workstations to lounge seating to gallery space
2) Introduce a new, private entrance for members of the co-working community, as the current entrance passes through the public cafe

Through the implementation of a flexible ”peg“ system workstations can be replaced by long boxes with ease, resulting in a space that is able to change according to the given needs of any moment in time.
